 Within the activities of the FORUM ACUSTICUM SEVILLA 2002, the following technical visits are foreseen:

TVF1: Acoustics Laboratory, National Center of Safety Equipments, Sevilla

TVF2: Hospital de las Cinco Llagas, an historical building rehabilitated as site of the Andalusian Parliament

 

 

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES (SAF)

The FORUM ACUSTICUM SEVILLA 2002 Organization has foreseen the development of a social activities programme for both congress members and accompanying people.

The programme of social activities is as follows:

            12:30 h. Closing Act, Closing Lecture (KL-05) and Farewell Cocktail

NOTE.- All these activities, cocktails, working lunches and the Official Dinner, are included in the Participants' and Accompanying Persons' Registration Fees

  

PROGRAMME FOR ACCOMPANYING PEOPLE (AF)

 To make the stay in Sevilla pleasant for accompanying persons, the following activities will be organized: 

AF1 - September 17th: Guided visit to Sevilla, lunch included

AF2 - September 18th: Guided visit to Carmona and Itálica, lunch included 

AF3 - September 19th: Guided visit to Arcos de la Frontera, lunch included

 NOTE.- All these activities and lunches are included in the Accompanying Persons' Registration Fees

 

 

Development of the Technical Sessions

Contributed and Invited papers will be presented in parallel technical sessions and organized according to theme.

The time devoted to each presentation will be 20 minutes (effectively 18  minutes);  15 minutes will be devoted to the presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.

The beginning of each presentation will be announced with a simultaneous acoustic signal in all rooms. After 15 minutes, another signal will indicate the beginning of the 3 min discussion. At the end, a new signal “in crescendo” will indicate that the presentation has concluded.

 

Reception of Contributed and Invited Papers

Deadline for the reception of the full text of the contributed and invited papers:

1st May 2002

The authors of the accepted papers will have to send the full text, including the abstract, on a floppy disk 3,5’’ or CD-ROM, suitably protected, together with a paper, copy size A-4, in accordance with the instructions in next paragraph: “Rules for the presentation of papers”.

For the final acceptance of a Contributed Paper, a Registration Form will have to be sent, by fax, to FORUM ACUSTICUM SEVILLA 2002 together with the payment order by means of Credit Card.

Each registration gives the right to present a maximum of two Contributed or Invited Papers.

DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE THE REFERENCE "PACS" OF THE PAPER

  

 

Rules for the Presentation of Contributed and Invited Papers

Both the text of the Summary and the Contributed or Invited Paper must be presented  according to the following rules:

  

TITLE OF THE PAPER

(Font: Arial, Size: 12, Line: 5, centered, bold)

 

PACS REFERENCE:        (Arial, Line 8, Size 8,  left justified)

Composition: The text has to be composed with Word  for Windows.

             Page Configuration:

 Margins:

Head margin: 2,5 cm

                        Foot margin: 2,5 cm

Left margin: 3 cm

Right margin: 3 cm

            Binding: 0 cm

From the side:

Heading: 1,25 cm

Footnote: 1,25 cm

Characters:

            Font: Arial

                       Size: 10. 

For the title of the Paper, size 12 will be used and for the “Pacs Reference”, size 8.

Length: Six pages (A4), figures, charts and graphics included.

Placement of the different elements:

Title of the Paper: Line 5. The whole text of the Title, size 12, in capital letters, boldfaces and centered.

PACS Reference: Line 8, size 8, all in capital letters and justified to the left (use only one PACS reference).

Author/s: Line 10. Justified to the left.

Institution/s: Line 11. Justified to the left.

Complete Addresses: Start on line 12. (Include Street and Number, City and City Code, Tel., Fax. -including national prefix-, and E-mail). All of it justified to the left.

Beginning of the text: On line 25. The text should start with a summary of about 100 words with the heading ABSTRACT.

Spacing: one line.

Separation between paragraphs: two lines.

Separation between new headings: three lines.

HEADINGS and SUBHEADINGS: Headings will be written in capital letters and boldface, justified to the left. Main Subheadings justified to the left, the first letter of each word in capital letters, and underlined. The remaining Subheadings, the first letter in capital letters, underlined and spaced 1,25 cm. The Headings will be separated three lines from the end of the previous text.

Justification: The text should be justified to the left and right margins.

The text will be sent without page numbers.

Illustrations and charts: if graphics and charts are included, they should be included in the same computer file. Do no send any graphics, diagrams or photographs in separate envelopes.

Equations and formulas: Equations and formulas will be cantered.

Bibliographical references: Should be grouped at the end of the text.

  

 

Audiovisual Equipment for the Presentations

The  audiovisual equipment available in each room for the oral presentation of the Contributed and Invited Papers will be:

- Slide projector

- Overhead projector

- PC Computer with Microsoft Office package

- Projection canyon

- Projection screen

If further audio-visual standard equipment is required, please inform the Congress Secretariat when sending the full text of the paper.
